Job Description:

• Ability to work all stations (Front of House, Tea-tending and Back of House positions). Perform a variety of duties (food preparation, general supervision of employees, opening and closing restaurant)
• Interview, hire and train staff so that all employees meet Ten Ren’s Tea Time standards
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed in compliance with company and government regulations
• Oversee and manage all areas of the store, as well as to ensure efficient and effective store operations
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, and labor costs
• Will be responsible for scheduling employees into a designated work schedule based on availability of the employees and needs of the restaurant
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance regarding employee relations, store operations, company policies, and decision making
• Develop and maintain a professional working environment for staff
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas including making sure that all operational standards are in ordinance of company policies and federal/state/local laws
• Provide exemplary customer service to guests and handle guest complaints graciously All other duties required to successfully operate the restaurant

Physical Demands:

• Ability to continuously stand or walk
• Ability to bend and lift occasionally
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred At least 2 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management; full-service or fast casual restaurant experience is desired
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• A love for the restaurant business and desire to create the ultimate guest experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - clear and professional demeanor
• Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize with efficiency
• A friendly and outgoing personality - must enjoy interacting with and servicing others
